UTILITY DESIGN

Water Distribution System & Sanitary Sewer Collection System design for both public and private clients. Utility design is provided for municipal design, as well as private site development projects.

DRAINAGE DESIGN

Design of public and private drainage systems, including detention basins, drainage calculations, and modeling. Drainage design consists of bridge / culvert designs, local collection systems, and regional trunk lines.

TRANSPORTATION

SGI performs design services for a several types of transportation infrastructure, including thoroughfare, local roadways, alleys, highways, light-rail, and streetcar design.

WATER RESOURCES

A strength of our firm is the management of floodplains and creek studies. SGI has extensive knowledge in water resources, and in providing Hydrology & Hydraulic Analysis, including LOMRs / CLOMRs.

SITE DEVELOPMENT

SGI provides civil engineering design, land planning, and land surveying services for the development of residential, multi-family, commercial/retail, and industrial properties. Our team is experienced in providing multi-agency coordination, while taking plans from concept through building permit.

LAND SURVEYING

Professional land surveying services provided for platting, boundaries, easement preparation, topographic design surveys, and ALTA/ASCM As-Built Surveys. In addition, SGI provides field engineering services, consisting of Horizontal & Vertical Control establishment, and construction staking.

 

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS

GIS provides an organization with a dynamic resource, utilizing aerial photography, construction plans, and database linked infrastruction features to equip the team to easily visualize and query large datasets. GIS is a technology used for planning, managmement, and engineering support, alike.

CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION

Throughout the duration of the project, SGI remains actively engaged in the construction process. SGI provides administrative support, such as responding to RFI's, providing assistance in the bid process, and providing technical inspection of asbuilt features.
