Texas Water Plan
The 1968 Texas Water Plan was prepared by the Texas Water Development Board, as a comprehensive 50-year plan for securing the future water supply needs of the State of Texas through the year 2020. The Plan is notable because of its proposal to import 12-13 million acre-feet per year from the Mississippi River. This study uses the techniques available in 2004 to review the plan and to develop additional specifics of the comprehensive Plan.
